Hi there!

Thank you for visiting my blog. I appreciate you stopping by! I hope you find the blog to be entertaining and even sometimes maybe you’ll be able to glean some ideas for craftiness. The majority of what you will find here will be craft related, and now and again, my homestead will make an appearance.

In case you wonder, the “Pinecone” in the title is a nod to my home state of Maine. Although, being in the Rocky Mountains, pinecones are pretty plentiful here as well. Actually, pinecones are my most favorite things ever. Some people like butterflies, some like spiffy rocks, some even like shoes. I happen to really dig pinecones. Maybe it’s because that the state flower of Maine is the White pinecone and tassel. I don’t know. I just know that I like them.

I am a night owl, and lucky for me, I found a night time position at a hotel. This shift is when the majority of my postings will be from. I also work for a company as an email representative for a company that sells chickens and chicken related accessories. I am not even kidding. I love these jobs. 🙂

We currently have four cats, two dogs, six chickens, two geese, and two ducks. We live on a fifth of an acre in town. We grow as much food as we can, and we try to eat as healthy as we can.

I also maintain a YouTube channel, and often I will have links to the channel. I post on Fridays (new to me tools and/or supplies), Sundays (Sunday Dinner), Mondays (Project –using the new supplies from Friday), and on Wednesdays (Life Chats–clips from the week that all get thrown together to show different aspects of life here). I plan to have these also on my blog here just to keep things cohesive.

I am a wife and mother to three kiddos. If I am mentioning my family, often I won’t use real names. Just for privacy sake. I refer to my husband as Captain Hardwood (he owns a hardwood flooring and remodeling company), Man-child, girl-child, and boy-child are my three children, in age order oldest to youngest.

And me? I’m Missy.

Leave me messages, share the blog if you like…sharing is caring–most of the time. I will try to answer as soon as possible, once I learn this WordPress system.
